Traci popped a little earlier than planned. Dayne was born on 7/31, he was 7lbs even and 18 1/2″ long. Here is a pic of Dayne and Mom in the hospital. I told her she was allowed to have scary hair after all she went through in the delivery room!

My shy wife finally let me take a picture of her. At 7 months she’s finally looking pregnant!
For those of you following her saga, Traci has been doing a lot better the last few weeks. She is off her medicine pump now and is also off bed rest. A thorough ultrasound last week confirmed the baby is in great shape. Thanks for all your prayers!

I mowed my lawn today. My yellow lab ‘Tilly’ decided it was a great opportunity to roll around in the grass….. There is no color adjustment to these pictures, its pretty true to life color. Traci and I have not tried to clean her yet, its just too funny….

Let me start with the bad. The bad is Traci has been sick. Sick… like the flu symptoms…. since mid December. She probably averages 20-23 hours a day on the couch in her PJ’s with the barf bucket next to her. I cannot imagine feeling that bad for that long of a period of time. I think she has only been out of the house about 5 times since then. Car rides are not her friend.
The good news is that the reason she is sick is because she is pregnant. This in itself is a miracle for us. After 2-1/2 years of trying, God has finally blessed us. Please be in prayer though, Traci is just about through her first trimester, but not quite ‘out of the woods’ in terms of possible issues.
She has been to the doctor 3 times already. Doctor says everything looks great. Traci is on medication to control the nausea (unfortunately it only reduces, not removes). This last week she has begun feeling marginally better, so pray she continues along that path.

I went and took this test after seeing vince and alex’s sites. I am a fan of taking these kinds of tests. While they usually do not tell you anything new, they will give you some insight on areas that you are weak, or could cause potential problems. Also, just fun to look at….

Traci is the lucky one this week. She gets to babysit Emily for a few days….
We were blessed to have Emily as our foster daughter from 6 days old to about 2 months. She then went to live with her aunt who is a christian and lives fairly close by. We keep in contact with her and babysit when we can. She is now about 8 months old.
This little girl holds the record for making me loose the most amount of sleep in a two month period ever……. but it was worth it.

I will refrain from typing “testing”…… Oh crap I did it already. I would think a first post should be the absolute most important thing one would have to say when starting a blog, but in light of the oxymoronic title I have chosen, I will violate the first post law.
These are our dogs. Tilly on the left and Roxy on the right. Overall they are pretty good. They have their moments though.
They are pure bred labs a little over 2 years old now. We had them leash trained when they were young so that we could have manageable large indoor dogs.
I will spare you all the funny stories I have about them now, look for them in future posts.
